However, there seems to be no currency exchange booths neither at the Birmingham International or Huntsville at this time. The Huntsville International airport information desk advises that you can exchange currency at the local AmSouth Bank, Colonial Bank, and Regions Bank. These banks provide this service free of charge for their customers and for fees between $5 - $40 for non-customers. SouthTrust provides currency exchange for a $15 fee for customers and does not provide the service for non-customers. Advance notice of 3 days to one week is required, but next day service is available for an additional fee. AmSouth and Colonial have currency exchange at any branch. SouthTrust branches of Downtown Huntsville, 72 West and Jones Valley and Regions branches at Madison Street and South Madison are the only locations with this service.
