Currency Trading Software
Currency trading software is used by traders to trade the forex market. There are many packages available, some with the rules not revealed (“black-box” systems) and some with the rules as part of the package.
Almost invariably, the software packages used for trading have a technical analysis based system that is traded. This is because technical analysis based strategies are usually easily transferred into simple rules that can be programmed into software format.
Many of the packages are not to be used as stand-alone packages, but are intended for use with other packages, such as TradeStation.
You should always check how comprehensive the package is. It may well be that the software does not handle all aspects of trading, such as money management. Therefore, you may have to devise additional strategies to compliment the software package.
Currency Trading Software – Vendors
Most vendors that can offer annual compounded returns in the 30%+ range, usually do not reveal what their system’s rules are. Instead, the systems are sold as black box systems, where you get the directions on how to trade from the software, but not the reasons behind trading calls.
As an exemplary list, here are some of the available vendors of currency trading software:
- Strategic Trading Systems Inc.
- Chuck LeBeau’s System Traders Club
- AIQ Systems (FX futures systems)
