Currency Exchange Rate Chart
Currency exchange rate chart information is available as daily charts and historical rate charts.
Graphical displays, or charts, of forex currency pair’s movements are important visual aids in determining what has happened to the currency historically. Some traders use charts and determine forecasts based on the shapes, declines, and upward movements of the currency data in the chart.
There are also intra-day charts, which provide similar aid for technical forex day traders. For most tourists looking to exchange currency, these intra-day charts are not very useful, as most currency exchange bureaus fix their rates once a day.
Currency Exchange Rate Chart – Daily Charts
Daily charts use information based on that trading day’s confirmed trades. These values are then transferred to an intra-day chart, which may use delayed data, or live data from the trading floor.
One site offering this kind of daily data is the INO.com currency charting tool. This service is free, but requires a registration. The site offers all kinds of services for foreign exchange related trading, including quotes, news, and forex futures information.
As for the daily currency FX rate chart, you can modify it to make quick technical analysis studies, change the timeframe, and download data (which is available for a fee).
Currency Exchange Rate Chart – Historical Charts
One of the most popular historical chart packages online is the one located at oanda.com/products/fxgraph/fxgraph.shtml. This service has historic quotes dating back to 1990, available for 164 currencies.
You can modify these graphs as well, by changing the graph type and presentation format.
If you run a website in need of graphical forex graphs, the OANDA tool can be licenced for $100 a month.
In addition to the charts, there are also converter tools, business applications for online shops, and more.
